Cassandra Heenan

With 24 years at Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland, Cassandra understands regional care and is passionate about the therapies that shape quality of life most: symptom relief, easing treatment side effects, and supporting patients physically and emotionally through their illness.

An accredited Oncology Nurse Practitioner for five years, she has led a nurse-led same-day symptom clinic, contributed to clinical trials, and worked in shared-care models bringing specialist care closer to regional patients. She is increasingly interested in integrative and complementary therapies, and the growing evidence for using them alongside conventional care to support patients as whole people.
